Q: Do
my two $750.00 deposits go towards my total package invoice or are they an
additional entry
fee?
A: No, they are not an additional fee. Your first and second deposits
are applied to your total package balance.
Q: What
if I do not know the exact number of players that I will be bringing when I
register? Can I
change this number at a later date?
A: Yes. You may add or delete players from your roster at any time
prior to 30 days before your scheduled arrival date without any penalty. Any
changes that are made inside of 30 days will be subject to cancellation fees
(see your official housing contract for fees and schedule). It is very
important that the coach or team representative read and understand the
housing contract prior to signing it and communicates all changes to our
housing director as they occur.
Q: Can
I bring both my JV and varsity teams to Cocoa Expo?
A: Yes. Cocoa Expo will create a practice and game schedule for both
teams and the best part is that since we do not charge an entry fee you do
not have to pay any extra fees to bring both teams.
Q: Can I upgrade my teams
participant package and stay at the beach?
A: Yes. Cocoa Expo offers beach packages.
For more information about the ultimate beach and
baseball package contact our
housing office at 321-639-EXPO (3976), ext. 10.
Q: If I choose a package with
meals, where will we eat our meals?
A: Where your team will eat will depend on where your team stays. For
teams staying on a Cocoa Beach package meals will be served at the Holiday
Inn Oceanfront Resort Hotel. For teams staying at one of our Titusville
hotels (closest to the Chain of Lakes Park softball complex), meals will be
at buffet style restaurants in Titusville. For those teams that wish to stay
on a mainland/Cocoa or island package meals will be served at the Days
Inn-Cocoa.
Q: If I choose to purchase a two or
one meal daily plan what meals are included?
A: Teams have the option of choosing to eat three,
two or one meal a day. After receiving your practice and game schedule you
will be asked to choose which meals you would like each day. The plan is
flexible in that you may choose to eat breakfast and lunch one day and then
choose breakfast and dinner another.
Q: What are the meal times?
A: Breakfast is served from 6:00am – 9:00am, lunch from 11:30am –
2:30pm and dinner from 5:00pm – 7:30pm.
Q: What equipment does Cocoa Expo
provide?
A: Cocoa Expo provides JUGS Pitching Machines in the batting tunnels
and pitching machine balls. In addition, we provide roll cages, L-screens
and infield screens for field practice sessions. Cocoa Expo also provides
the baseballs for all games. Teams must provide their own catching gear,
gloves, bats, practice balls, helmets, hitting tees, etc.
Q: How many games and practices can
I get while I am there?
A: Each coach will be sent a schedule request form to fill out. On
this form you can request games, full field practices and batting tunnel
time. We do our very best to make sure that our teams get all of the time
they request. It is very important for high school teams to check with
their state associations to make sure that they are in compliance with their
state rules concerning games/scrimmages.
Q: Does Cocoa Expo provide any
ground transportation?
A: No, however teams that are not able to willing to rent vans, may
arrange for professional shuttle bus transportation through Travel Lynx,
local bus company. The fee for this service is $8.00 per person per
roundtrip. Arrangements for transportation must be made in advance with
Travel Lynx.
Q: Will our fans have to pay to see
us play?
A: No. There is no admission charge to get into Cocoa Expo Sports Center to watch the games.
Q: Who needs to purchase a Cocoa
Expo participant package?
A: All players, coaches (with the exception of the free coach
for every 16 players), trainers and team staff need to purchase one of our
package options in order to participate. All teams will be required to
provide a rooming list to Cocoa Expo prior to their arrival and this list
will be checked to verify the total number of participants.
Q: Does Cocoa Expo have a place for
our team to store our equipment so we don’t have to take it back and forth
to the hotel.
A: No. Due to the large number of teams participating in our spring
program, there will not be any storage space available.
