The Nation's Cup is Cocoa Expo's summer soccer spectacular. The four days full of fun, sun and soccer include high-level soccer games and a dance party on the first evening of the tournament as a great chance to meet and socialize with other players and coaches. Group play games are played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Generally, teams will have one game per day. The semifinals and finals will be played on Monday. The Semifinals will be played at 8:00am and 10:00am and the Finals will be played at 1:00pm and 5:00pm. The team registration is on Friday July 22nd in the afternoon.

Tournament Structure and Requirements (View a copy of the Tournament Rules)

All Cocoa Expo tournaments are open to Girls and Boys U9-U19. We accept teams from U.S.S.F Youth Soccer Affiliates, U.S. Club Soccer, Super-Y League and International Associations. The teams have to be a Premier Team, Select Team, Classic Team, League Team, or Recreational All-Star Teams.

Format:

U9 - 10 teams will play 6v6 format (maximum of 12 players on their roster)

U11 - U12* teams will play 8v8 format (maximum of 14 players on their roster)

U13 - U19 teams will play 11v11 format (maximum of 18 players on their roster)

*U12 teams may also register to play 11v11

Every tournament has a 3 game guarantee. After pool games teams will advance to semi-finals (if applicable). Finals will match the winners of group play or semi-final games.

Awards will be given to finalists and semifinalists (if applicable).

Requirements:

Each team must submit a roster (not older than 30 days prior to tournament) that has been verified by their District Commissioner, along with a Medical Release Form for each player.  Players and Coaches must have current, valid & verified player passes which have been laminated with a current photo on the back.  Out-of-state teams must also submit a Permission-to-Travel form.

International teams must provide an approved Permission to travel letter from their governing association, roster and proof of insurance.

All age groups are allowed to include up to 4 "guest players" on their roster. Guest players must be registered players and meet the age requirements. A guest player from outside the team’s home state must have written permission to play from his home association.

Location:

Teams will compete at the Cocoa Expo Sports Center (14 fields, various sizes) and nearby offsite locations (if necessary).

Rules:

All tournaments will be played under F.Y.S.A. rules in accordance with U.S.Y.S.A., U.S.S.F., and F.I.F.A. In age groups U16 through U19 involving two or more international teams the F.I.F.A. limited schoolboy/girl substitution rules will apply.

A complete set of rules will be sent to your team after your team is accepted.

Housing:

All participating teams must stay in the dormitory or in one of our member hotels and must provide their own transportation. Cocoa Expo offers a wide variety of accommodations and meals packages. If you stay in our dormitory lodging and meal plan or on our hotel lodging and meal plan your team is eligible to use Cocoa Expo’s Athletic and Meeting Facilities at no charge.

Please note that if your team stays on one of our lodging and meal plans during the tournament your tournament entry fee is waived!

No Refunds will be made to teams withdrawing after acceptance.

Registered boy's and girl's teams from the U9 - U19 age groups are invited to all Cocoa Expo tournaments. To be eligible for a particular age group, the player must be born on or after August 1. Please check the age guidelines if you are uncertain about a player.

Sanctioning Bodies

Cocoa Expo tournaments have been officially sanctioned by the Florida Youth Soccer Association in cooperation with the U.S.Y.S.A., U.S.S.F. and F.I.F.A.

Cocoa Expo tournaments use the finest officials available.  All tournament officials are U.S.S.F. and F.IF.A. certified and come with a letter of recommendation from their respective areas.
