We are proud to say that during the past 16 years, the Cocoa Expo Cup & College Showcase has hosted over 1600 teams featuring over 24,000 players.  This event has provided a great meeting point for players, families, college and professional coaches and soccer fans alike to celebrate the world's most popular sport.  College coaches from the NCAA, NAIA and Junior Colleges will attend the event to recruit players.  F.I.F.A, The United States Soccer Federation, United States Youth Soccer Association and the Florida Youth Soccer Association have proudly sanctioned all of our tournaments for the past 15 years and we have only accepted USSF and FIFA certified referees for our events.

The tournament dates for the Cocoa Expo Cup & College Showcase are always December 27 - 30.  This is an ideal time, just after the holidays, to bring your team to sunny Cocoa Beach, Florida for four great days of great competition, college preparation and fun.  Group play games will be played on the first three days of the tournament.  Semifinals and Finals will be played on the final tournament day.  Semifinal matches will be played at 8 and 10 AM with the Finals at 1 and 5 PM.

At the Cocoa Expo Cup and College Showcase, players, coaches, friends and family enjoy an Olympic style celebration with a march in to officially open the event.  This will be an evening to remember. Bring your team banners and team spirit!  Each year at The Cocoa Expo Cup, a dance party provides a great opportunity for players and coaches to mingle with teams from around the country and around the World!

College Coaches and Professional Scouts are Watching You!

Tournaments and College Showcases play a leading role in the recruiting process for College Soccer. Our main goal is to help your players to achieve their dreams!  At the Cocoa Expo Cup & College Showcase and other Expo events, your players have the opportunity to be seen by college, university and professional coaches.  We invite over 700 NCAA Div. I, II, III, NAIA and Junior College Coaches every year to attend our showcase and recruit players.  During the tournament, college recruiting seminars will be held by Sports Source, a leader in the recruiting information market.  Players can contact college coaches and get first hand information on how to get recruited.  Please contact the soccer department for pre-tournament recruiting information.

I.      Tournament Structure and Requirements: (View the Tournament Rules)

All Cocoa Expo tournaments are open to Girls and Boys U9-U19. We accept teams from U.S.S.F Youth Soccer Affiliates, U.S. Club Soccer, Super-Y League and International Associations. The teams have to be a Premier Team, Select Team, Classic Team, League Team, or Recreational All-Star Teams.

        Requirements:

Each team must submit a roster (not older than 30 days prior to tournament) that has been verified by their District Commissioner, along with a Medical Release Form for each player.  Players and Coaches must have current, valid & verified player passes which have been laminated with a current photo on the back.  Out-of-state teams must also submit a Permission-to-Travel form.

International teams must provide an approved Permission to Travel letter from their governing association, roster and proof of insurance.

All age groups are allowed to include up to 4 "guest players" on their roster.  Guest players must be registered players and meet the age requirements.  A guest player from outside the team’s home state must have written permission to play from his home association.

        Playing Location:

Tournament teams will compete at the Cocoa Expo Sports Center (14 fields, various sizes) and nearby offsite locations (if necessary).

        Tournament Rules:

All tournaments will be played under F.Y.S.A. rules in accordance with U.S.Y.S.A., U.S.S.F., and F.I.F.A. In age groups U16 through U19 involving two or more international teams the F.I.F.A. limited schoolboy/girl substitution rules will apply.  A complete set of rules will be sent to your team after your team is accepted.

Registered boy's and girl's teams from the U9 - U19 age groups are invited to all Cocoa Expo tournaments.  To be eligible for a particular age group, the player must be born on or after August 1.  Please check the age guidelines if you are uncertain about a player.

        Sanctioning Bodies:

Cocoa Expo tournaments have been officially sanctioned by the Florida Youth Soccer Association in cooperation with the U.S.Y.S.A., U.S.S.F. and F.I.F.A.
