"University of Soccer" . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . Frequently Asked Questions

Which camp is for what player?

Day camp; everyone with a good soccer attitude and the willingness to learn more about soccer in a fun and enjoyable environment.

Residential Camp; The more serious soccer player who is at the intermediate or advanced level.

Elite-training; For competitive and ODP level players only.

What are the players rooms like? (View Dorms)

Each Cocoa Expo dormitory room is equipped with four bunk beds, television set, air conditioning, towels and full bathroom. We recommend each student bring their own towel to take to the swimming pool, along with personal toiletries to wash with.

Roommate requests will be taken into consideration, we usually satisfy 99% of our students but this is not a guarantee.

What security or supervision do you provide?

The "University of Soccer" coaching staff are on hand 24 hours and stay with the players at the Sports Center.  There is also a 24 hour receptionist available at the front desk so that any player can be reached at any time.  In addition, RA's or Resident Advisors, sleep in a room next to the campers rooms, and are available 24/7 in case of an emergency.

Is there any Medical Staff?

Yes. There is a trainer available throughout all training sessions and the coaches and counselors are available off the field as well.  The front desk is open 24 hours each day to handle any emergencies.

What is there to do in the spare time?

Players will have very little spare time. We have many activities set up for each player. If they are not on the field or in the indoor center then they will be in the classroom, quiz room, swimming pool, cafeteria or asleep in bed!

Can parents come to watch the players? Can parents visit the players?

Yes and Yes. Parents are encouraged to come to practice sessions and watch. Although, we do ask that parents do not interact with students until after the session and absolutely no children are to be taken off the premises without prior written consent.

Why is the University of Soccer camp different from all the rest? (Camp Philosophy)

The University is based at the Cocoa Expo Sports Center.  We are not affiliated with any one specific college, so we are able to attract many different coaches for our camps.  We also have professional players from around the world, that come to Cocoa and coach during their off season.  Not many other camps have NCAA National Champion College coaches, MLS and European professional players and Internationally certified coaches among the staff.

Not only are our coaches second to none but we are an established camp which is now into its sixteenth year in operation. Soccer Camps and soccer education is our business and we work 12 months a year on our programs to make the UNIVERSITY OF SOCCER PROGRAM the best in the country!
